01 / Our bakery

Good bread, made in South Florida.

Pita House Bakery is a family-owned bakery with roots in Eretz Yisrael. We came to South Florida in 1989, when the local kosher community was just beginning to grow, and have been baking pita for our neighbors ever since.

Our bread is certified kosher under the strict kashrut supervision of Kosher Miami. We use Yoshon flour, sift it before baking, and add no preservatives. The result is fresh, vegan pita made with care every day.

Freshly baked pitas travel up from the oven on our bakery conveyor. This is the bread behind the bag: made here in Hallandale Beach and headed out to our South Florida partners.

03 / What matters to us

The details matter.

Our bakery follows Kosher Miami supervision and the Pat Yisrael standard. We bake with Yoshon flour, keep our pita parve, and sift and inspect the flour before every batch.

Kosher Miami certification mark

Kosher Miami certified

Our bakery operates under the supervision of Kosher Miami, the Vaad HaKashrus of Miami-Dade.

Pat Yisrael

Our ovens are lit under kosher supervision, so every pita meets the Pat Yisrael standard, year-round.

Yoshon flour

We bake only with Yoshon flour, from grain that meets the Torah’s standard for “new grain,” so our pita works for the most careful kosher kitchens.

Parve

Our pita contains no meat or dairy and is made on dedicated equipment, so it goes with any meal.

Sifted and inspected

We sift and inspect our flour before every batch, as kosher standards require. It also gives us a lighter, more even dough.
